Esta semana fue la última para terminar mi trabajo del grupo 8 x 11, con el cual comparto el agradable reto de crear un miniquilt con algún tema elegido. Esta vez el tema fue CASA.
Bueno, honestamente no sabía que el tiempo se terminaba hasta hace 3 dias, asi que decidí seguir mis instintos y dejarme llevar para hacer mi proyecto. Que podría hacer? Mi casa material o mi casa espiritual? pensando y reflexionando me di cuenta que la verdadera casa en que habito, donde encuentro mi paz y mi seguridad, en la que me muevo y gracias a la cual habito este planeta, soy YO. El cuerpo que me permite ser, es este cuerpo mio al que todos llaman Lucy.
Bueno, esta mujer lunar, que flota en el universo, llena de pensamientos y amor, creadora del hogar y amante de la naturaleza es la protagonista de mi tema CASA.

This week was the last to finish our group project 8 x 11, in which I share the nice challenge to make mini quilts in diferent subjects. This time we got the topic HOUSE.

Honestly, I didn´t realize it was just three days left , so I decided to follow whitin my instincts and let them to guide me.What should I do? my spiritual house or my material house? Reflecting and thinking I realized that the true dwelling house where I really  live, the place where I found my peace and my security is MYSELF. The body that allows me to be, this body called Lucy.

Well, this woman moon, floating in the universe, filled with thoughts and love, creative household and lover of nature is the protagonist of my subject CASA.

OUR TRUE HOME IS HERE AND NOW.

La Elegancia del erizo- The Elegance of hergehog

Esta semana mi amiga Esther me prestó el libro "La elegancia del erizo" y ha sido una delicia leerlo!
Se los recomiendo.
No hay quilts por el momento, pero sigo organizando mi vida, lo bueno permanece, lo malo o inutil se va...

Semana creativa- Creative week

Esta semana fué una semana muy creativa y de reciclado. Malú tenía un sueter de su mama que significaba mucho y quería hacer algo con el, asi que lo convertimos en una preciosa bolsa de lana con correas de cuero, quedo muy linda!
Con una de las mangas Nicole tambien tuvo una bolsa aprovechando un lindo borreguito, preciosa verdad? Me encanta que mis alumnas reciclen y disfruten de sus labores!!

This week was very creative and work recycled. Malú had a special mom´s sweater that meant a lot to her and she wanted to do something with it, so we made a bag with leather handles, it looks so pretty!

With one of the sleeves Nicole got a bag for her too with a little lamb, beautiful isn´t it?  I love when my students recycle and enjoy!

Yo también estuve diseñando y jugando a hacer zapatitos de bebe, asi que le hice a Sarita unas ballerinas rosas, chequen las piernas, que tierna no? para comersela! Nicole muy orgullosa de su baby.

I was designing and playing with baby pink shoes, so I made a pair for little Sarah, look at her legs, so cute!

And Nicole so proud of her.

También estuve trabajando en un quilt de tejido con mis tiras de telas para reciclar, me encantan las nuevas tecnicas, sobretodo cuando las puedo simplificar tanto, este proyecto me llevó solo 2 días de trabajo!
I was working in a weave quilt recycling my strips, I love to try new techniques and more when I can simplify them, this project just took two hours to finish!

Día de Clase- Class Day

 Esta semana tuvimos finalmente otro curso de "La vida en patchwork".

This week we finally have a new class of "La vida en patchwork"

 El curso fue como hacer un paisaje textil y fué diseñado por mi socia y amiga, Wendy Amoore.
 The class was about how to make a landscape and it was designed by my partner and friend, Wendy Amoore.

 Café, biscochos, comida y ricos postres acompañarón un curso muy interesante y lleno de tips para poder crear paisajes.

Coffee, pastries, food and delicious deserts join a very interesting class full of good tips to create landscapes.

Todas estuvieron muy atentas y entretenidas!! 

 All ladies were so entertaining!!
