Parte 2

Continuando con las vacaciones, decidimos ir el sábado pasado al bosque con nuestros amigos,David y Katinka , mi suegro y su hija. Fue un día espectacular y pudimos llegar muy alto pese a que nuestro pequeño Sherpa (el bebe de David) estuvo hambriento y llorando por casi 20 minutos.
Carry on with the holidays, we decided to go the rainforest last saturday, with our friends David and Katinka, and my father in law and his daughter. It was a very nice day and we could get very high despite our little Sherpa (David´s baby)was starving, crying for almost 20 minutes.

Finalmente encontramos un lugar plano, donde pudimos comer y relajarnos. Aquí el bebe esta ya contento y feliz, con pañal nuevo y bien alimentado.

Finally we found a plan place, where we could eat and get relax. Here the baby is happy with his new diaper and already eaten .

A pesar de estar haciendo otras cosas he podido acolchar un poco de este proyecto que inicié este mes, casi esta terminado, espero que pronto lo pueda usar! Despite of be doing other things, I have quilted a little on this project I started this month, it is almost done, I hope I can use it soon!
Muy acorde a la primavera, verdad? Me encantan los colores y lo mejor... esta hecho de casi nada de tela! Accord with the spring, isn´t it? I like the colors and best... it is done with almost nothing of material!
La siguiente salida de pascua por la ciudad fué visitar el museo de Antropología e historia y poder ver la maravillosa exposición: Isis y la Serpiente. Our next go out in easter time, was to visit the Antropology Museum and see the great exposicion: Isis and the Serpent.

Una oportunidad única para admirar dos grandes culturas en la historia de la humanidad. A unique opportunity to admire two great cultures of the history of humanity.

La mayoría de las piezas viene del museo del Cairo en Egipto y hay cosas que muy difilmente se podrán ver de cerca otra vez. The majority of the pieces come from Cairo Museum in Egypt, and hardly we will see it againg.
Las piezas que representan a Quetzatcoátl, la serpiente emplumada son de diferentes regiones de México. The pieces that represent Quetzatcoátl, the feather serpent are from diferent regions of Mexico.
El ojo de Horus, una de mis favoritas. Tambien presentarón un video muy interesante de Isis y Osiris. The Horus eye, one of my favorites displays. They present a very intesting video about Isis and Osiris.

También aproveche para comprarme unos aretes de plata con la cruz Ankh, que es el simbolo de la vida. Also I take advantage,and got a pair of earrings, made of silver with the cross of Ankh, it is the simbol of life.

Saliendo del museo, se puede ver a los voladores de Papantla, yo siempre aprovecho y no me canso de admirar su ceremonia.

Out of the museum, we could see the flying of Papantla, I always take advantage to see them because I never get tired to admire their ceremony.

Sabian que este es un traje típico totonaco ?Es muy colorido verdad?Me encanta ver con que orgullo lo porta, igual que sus costumbres.Do you know this is a tipical costume of totonacos (one ethnic group of the southeast mexico)? Is colorful, isn´t it? I love to see how proud he wears it, as proud as he is of his culture.
Es algo que me emociona mucho, la musica, el rito y la danza en el aire de esta maravillosa etnia de nuestro País. Ojalá y nunca se pierda! This thrill me so much, the music, the rite and the dance in the wind, this a wonderful ethnic group of our Country. I hope it never disappear!

Al final de la visita, me invitarón a comer a un buen lugar en el centro. Y yo feliz con mis aretes nuevos!! At the end of our visit, I was invited to have lunch in a nice place in downtown. And I was happy of wear my new earrings!!

Pascuas parte1- Easter part1

Estas vacaciones decidímos disfrutar como turistas de las cosas maravillosas que tiene nuestra ciudad de México y bueno decidimos ir al castillo de Chapultepec a ver una exposicion acerca del Budismo, la cual les recomiendo muchisimo!

This holidays we decided to enjoy as a turists, the marvelous things we have in the City and well we went to the Chapultepec Castle and see one exposition about Buddism, which I recomend amply!

Además de eso pude ver este fabuloso mural de Siqueiros que esta en una de las salas.

Therewith I can see this fabulous mural of Siqueiros that is in one of the halls.

Creo que no necesito palabras para explicar el mural, los colores son maravillosos, una obra de arte!
I believed no need words to explain this mural, the colors are wonderful, it´s an example of art!

Aqui estoy en el poster de la exposicion la cual estuvo muy interesante!

Despues de la exposición, en el parque encontré a un señor que dá de comer a las palomas desde que era niño, me encantó! gracias a él pude darles en mi mano de comer y se siente muy bien.
After the exposition, in the park I found a man that feed the doves since he was a child,I loved it! thanks him I could feed them in my hand and that felt so good.

Alegría- Joy

Es Primavera!!! Estoy feliz de saber que finalmente el invierno ha terminado, ya sé que nada es seguro con el cambio de clima pero por lo menos en México al ver estos hermosos colores sabemos que es verdad.
It´s spring time!!! I´m happy to be sure that winter is over, I know that nothing is sure
with the weather change but at least here in Mexico when we see these beautiful colors we know it is true.

Como las flores, los niños también son un símbolo de luz y color en primavera.
Estas pascuas mis sobrinos-nietos Emilio y Santiago nos visitan por unos días,
El bebe es Luca, el hijo de mis inquilinos que Marión cuida algunas veces.
Ellos han llenado de alegría mi casa.

Like flowers, the kids are a symbol of color and light too this spring. This easter mis nephews-grandchild Emilio and Santiago, visit us for some days, the little baby is Luca our tenant´s son that Marion take care sometimes.

They have filled of joy my house.

Tuvimos una feria gastronómica en Tlalpan y mi hija Marión trabajó como edecán del restauran “Los vaqueros”. No resistí una foto! Mamá gallina!
We had a gastronomic fair in our delegation and my daughter Marión worked as aide-de camp on the restaurant “Los vaqueros”. I couldn’t resist taking a picture! Mother Hen!.

Por supuesto fuimos a cenar allí y disfrutamos mucho. Salud!
Of course we went there to had dinner, we enjoyed so much. Cheers!

En mi última clase de quilt, tuvimos a una Linda y muy entusiasta alumna,
es la hija de Nicole.
On my last quilting class, we had a beautiful and enthusiastic student, she’s Nicole’s daughter.
Me encanta la espontaneidad con que los niños se interesan en las cosas y lo rápido que aprenden, es un regalo el poder compartir con ellos esto!
I love children’s spontaneity and the way they are concerned on everything, how quick they learn, it’s a gift to can share this with them!

Madre e hija, me encanta la imagen y creo que ellas disfrutaron la experiencia!

El color primavera - Spring color

Ya casi es primavera y todo luce de ese color!! Existe el color de la primavera?
Creo que es la mezcla de los colores de la naturaleza que te hacen sentir feliz y creativa, quizás inspirada para hacer algo bonito, poner flores, pintar o hacer algo útil en patchwork? ja ja ja.
It´s almost spring and all looks like that color!! Does spring color exists?
I believed it´s a mix of the colors of nature that make you feel happy and creative, maybe inspire people to do something beautiful, or to put some flowers at home, or paint or doing something useful and nice in patchwork? ha ha ha.

Por primera vez, me he sentido inspirada con los bellos colores de nuestro jardín y he hecho una bolsa para las herramientas del patchwork, estoy feliz por lo divertido que fue diseñarla y hacerla, aquí están las fotos.

For the first time I´ve been felt inspired with our beautiful garden colors and I made a tool bag,I am very proud with the fun I had and designing and doing it , here are the pictures.


Bueno, lo nuevo de estos días es que ahora estoy dando clases en casa de Nicole y se ha formado un grupo pequeño pero muy lindo.
Well, the news from all these days is now I got a new group at Nicole´s place, it´s little, but nice.

Creo que a las mariposas les encanta venir a nuestro árbol de higos, pueden ver a ésta?
También con los colores del jardín, compré una sombrilla para nuestra pequeña terraza, se ve linda, verdad?.

With the same colors of the garden I bought an umbrella for the sun, it looks nice does n´t it?

Finalmente! Finally!

Despues de meses de trabajo ahora estoy feliz por tenerlo, he necesitado mucha constancia y determinación, pero ahora sé que valió la pena, ahora puedo continuar con el resto de mis proyectos. Ja ja ja

After months of work I´m happy to have it done, I´ve needed lots of perseverance and determination, but now I know it was worth it, now I can continue with the rest of my projects. LOL

Finalmente terminé mi quilt !!! Finally I finish my quilt!!!!
