Compartir- Sharing

En esta temporada ha sido muy importante el poder compartir, con las personas que me rodean, ciertas cosas que mas alla del trabajo o el dinero, provienen del corazón.
Son cosas sutiles, pero tan importantes en la vida, que a veces pueden pasar desapercibidas, algunas pueden disfrutarse y alegrar ciertos momentos de convivencia con las personas.
This season it has been important sharing with people all around, certain things that despite of the money or work, they come from heart.

Una  cosa que he compartido, fue la preparación de ricos panes, uno fue para mis alumnas y otro para mi familia. Los panes fueron hechos con peras de mi árbol, almendras y yogurt.
One of them was the preparation of two breads, one for my students and the other for my family. they were made with pears from my tree, almonds and yogurt.

Before to go to the oven.

 Despues del horno, lucen bien. Mmmmm sabían ricos tambien!

After the oven, they look good.Mmmm they taste so good too!

RECIPE:
1 egg
1/2 cup of oil (Canola or Soy)
1 1/2 cup of flour
3/4 cup of sugar
1/4 little spoon of salt
2 little spoons of baking soda
3/4 cup of natural yogurt or buttermilk
2 cups of pears
 (already boil with sugar, without skin and seeds, then mashed, can use it warm)
1 1/2 cup of almonds well chopped.
Turn on the oven to a 175°C  

Mix the egg with the oil  in the mixer for about 2-3 minutes. Apart in a bowl, put the  flour, sugar, salt and baking soda, mix this dry ingredients with a spoon and add this, little by little to the mixer, at the same time add some yogurt, till you finish both ingredients.

Last add the pears, mix some seconds and add the almonds  and mix all well.

Then put it in a good  recipient and put it into the oven for about half hour or till it looks done. Enjoy!!

It´s possible to replace the pears for shredded carrots or  mashed banana.

También otra cosa que adquirimos mi esposo y yo, fue esta maravillosa chimenea. Nos dió una temperatura mejor y una clase bastante cálida la semana pasada!
 Other thing we got to share too, was this wonderful chimney my husband and I bought . It gave us a warm class and nice temperature  last week!

 La siguiente cosa que quiero compartir, es esta cabaña que existe dentro de mi jardín. Mi plan es dar cursos de patchwork para personas que viven fuera de la ciudad o del País y quieran tomar una especie de retiro y pasar tiempo en esta linda cabaña con todo lo necesario, suena bien no?
Next thing I want to share, is this cabin that is within my garden. My plan is to give patchwork courses for foreign people or people that lives out of the city and want to have a retire and spend time here with all necessary, sounds good  don´t you think?

 A unos cuantos pasos se encuentra mi estudio, listo y esperando para ofrecer una bebida caliente, pan de peras y alguna clase divertida, alguien se apunta?
So just a few steps it is my studio, ready to offer a hot beverage, pear bread and any fun class, somebody want to join me?

 Cambiando un poco el tema, una amiga trajo a otra amiga a mi estudio para pedirme un traje especial pues va a dar un concierto de piano en Chicago, bueno este es el diseño.
Changing the subject, a friend of mine brought a friend of her to my studio to asked me for a special suit, because she is going to give a piano performance in Chicago, so here is the design.

 Ya lo he cortado y armado, ahora espera en el maniquí a que la dueña pueda darme su aprovación para terminarlo. Siento que se verá muy elegante, solo faltan los detalles, ya verán...
It´s already cut and assemble, now it is waiting for the owner aprovation to be finished. I feel it will look so elegant on her, just few details you´ll see...

Octubre esta aqui! - October is here!

Si! Octubre finalmente nos ha alcanzado un año mas y apenas si me he dado cuenta. Tantas cosas han pasado y tan poco tiempo para compartirles aqui.
Mi mama sufrió una caída y eso me mantuvo bastante ocupada el mes pasado, afortunadamente ella esta mejor;  inició el mes caminando!
Yes! October is here again and I  barely noticed. So much has happened and so little time to share with you here.
My mom fell and that kept me pretty busy last month, fortunatelly she´s better and starts the month walking.

Lo mejor del mes fué que mi hija Marión inició los preparativos para su graduación, en unos meses más termina la escuela, eso significa que iniciará el año elaborando su tesis y haciendo planes para su futuro.
Mi esposo y yo estamos muy felices por ella, pues ha logrado todo lo que se ha propuesto hasta ahora.
Best of last month was Marión my daughter began preparations for graduation because the school will finish in a few months, that means she will start her thesis and will be free to make future plans.
My husband and I are very happy for her, she did everything that has been proposed so far.

Entre costuras, planes y escribiendo, yo tambien seguiré caminando... queda tan poco para terminar el año! Pero bueno, sigo con mi Dear Jane, mi quilt del jardín de la abuela y el libro que estoy escribiendo.
Among seams, plans and writing, I also keep walking...few time to end the year! But I am still doing my Dear Jane, a Grandma´s garden quilt and the book I am writing.

La semana pasada fuí a Puebla con algunas de mis alumnas a una expo-quilt que organizaron unas amigas. Estuvo en un buen lugar, bien organizado y ví muchas caras felices, y entre las caras felices pude saludar a muchas de mis queridas amigas del mundo del quilt! Felicidades chicas por su evento, les deseo que crezcan mucho y que pronto podamos estar a niveles internacionales.
Last week son of my students and I went to Puebla for a quilt-expo that some friends of mine organize.
It tooks place in a very nice salon, well organize and I saw many happy faces, among that I could say hello to some of my dear quilting world friends! Congratulations girls for the event, I wish it grows and it soon reach international levels.
