Ultimos dias del año. Last days of the year.

Quiero mostrarles el último proyecto de Marión, hizo 2 lindos cojines. Uno es para ella y otro para su novio.
I want to show you the last project of Marión, she made two quite cushions. One for her one for her boyfriend.
El punto aquí es que estoy muy orgullosa de ella pues los hizo en solo dos dias!! y su grado de calidad fue, exelente!
The point is I am very proud of her, she made it in just two days!! and her quality grade was excellent!
En la última clase de patchwork, Angelica terminó este árbol de navidad y le tomé esta foto con su hijita Melissa que algunas veces nos visita.
The last patchwork class, Angelica finished this Christmas tree and I took a picture of her and her daughter Melissa, she sometimes visit us.
He estado trabajando todo este mes en una colección de faldas que me encargarón. Ha sido un completo renacer para mi, pues ya tenía muchos años sin hacer todos los procesos del diseño de modas.
I have been working this month in a skirt collection that a client entrust me. This has been a revival to me, because after a long time without doing all the fashion design process I found I am still able to do all.
Tengo que sacar los patrones de varios modelos, los cuales me han gustado mucho pues son bastante modernos e interesantes.
I have to do all the patterns, I like the models so much, they are interesting and modern.

Esta falda fué mi primera muestra, hice el patrón, luego corte la tela y la armé, despues gradué el patrón en 3 tallas.
This skirt was my first sample, I did the pattern, then I cut the fabric and sew it, after that I graduate the pattern in 3 sizes.
Durante todo este proceso, decidí que el proximo año trabajaré otra vez como diseñadora de modas, asi que me auto-regale este maravilloso maniquí de tallas de dama, ya verán algunas de mis nuevas creaciones!
During all this process, I decided that next year I will work as a fashion designer again, so I gave myself this wonderful manikin, you will see some of my new creations!

Quiero comentarles que estoy muy feliz por que a pesar de que este año no ha sido fácil, he tenido la fortuna de estar rodeada de amor, trabajo, buenos amigos, lindas alumnas y cosas muy buenas. Mañana será el último dia del año y será muy especial pues la luna será llena.
LES DESEO UN AÑO 2010 LLENO DE BUENA ENERGIA Y MUCHAS COSAS BUENAS!!

I want to tell you that I am very happy because in spite of this year has not been easy, I have been the fortune to be sorrounded of love, friends, work, nice students and good things. Tomorrow will be the last year of the year and it will be very special because is going to be full moon.
I WISH YOU A 2010 FULL OF GOOD ENERGY AND A LOT OF GOOD THINGS!!

This is an amazing gift we received each winter season from our orchid, Isn´t it beautiful?

Otoño- Autumn

Otro de los proyectos que tenía pendientes era este pequeño cuadro del volcán popocatepetl. Fue hecho en apliqué y lo he acolchado a la manera que me enseñó Pam Holland, me ha gustado muchísimo como ha quedado, tienen mucha "consistencia" y la dureza necesaria para usar como un cuadro.
Another of my old projects was this little wall hanging of the Popocatepetl volcano. It was made in appliqué and I quilted it the way Pam Holland taught me, I really like it, it has "body and texture" and it is hard enough to hang in a wall.

Por cierto Pam, viene a México en Febrero y Nicole y yo nos hemos apuntado para tomar una de sus clases. Va a ser muy divertido compartir juntas la experiencia!
By the way, she´s coming to Mexico next February and Nicole and I signed up to the classes. Is going to be a nice experience to share together!
Fue el 5to. Aniversario de Quilting Studio aqui en México y bueno fuimos unas amigas y yo. Allí me encontré a algunas ex-alumnas; me dio mucho gusto verlas y también el saber lo bien que le ha ido a esta escuela de quilts, la cual ha crecido con mucho exito.
It was the 5th anniversary of quilting studio here in Mexico city, and I went there with some friends. I met some ex-students and was so nice to see their. And of course, to realize how well that this school has gone and all the success has managed.

Rifaron algunos quilts y hubo mucha gente .Felicidades!!

They raffled some quilts and there were a lot of people. Congratulations!!

Nicole y yo disfrutamos del evento, buen pretexto para convivir y desearles más éxito!!!
Nicole and I enjoyed the event, it was a good pretext to spend time together and wish their more success!!!
Y como en cada cambio de ciclo, arribo el otoño y las hojas de mis arboles cambiaron de color, me encanta y maravilla este recordatorio de la naturaleza, que nada es estático todo tiene que cambiar y evolucionar.
And as in every change of cycle, arrives the autumn and the leaves of my trees changed color, I love and it astonishes this reminder of nature, that nothing is static everything has to change and evolve.
El otoño es el momento de dejar ir y soltar para poder (durante el invierno) renovarnos interiormente y poder resurgir en Primavera. si tenemos la capacidad de observar a la naturaleza y sus cambios nos daríamos cuenta de que importantes son las estaciones y su transformación para continuar aportando al universo, cada pequeña hoja es importante en el árbol de la vida...
Autumn is the season to let go and release and, during winter time, to renew ourselves internally and to be able to re-arise in spring. If we have the aptitude to observe the nature and its changes
we would realize how important the stations and its transformations are to keep on giving to the universe, every small leaf is important in the tree of life...
