Octubre- October

Durante este mes celebramos el cumpleaños número 55 de mi esposo, y como podrán apreciar, ni siquiera se le nota la edad, claro el dice lo contrario, ja ja ja.
This month we celebrated the birthday 55 of my husband and as you can see, he even not represents his age, but he thinks the contrary, ha ha ha.

Celebramos con una rica comida en un lugar diferente y divertido. Es un restaurant que realmente fué un Delirio. comimos delicioso y despues nos fuimos a un concierto de música de camara.
We celebrated with a delicious lunch in a fun and different place. It is a new restaurant called Delirio, so it was!
Para el final del mes fuí a Pachuca, Hidalgo donde tuve que dar mi curso. Arrivé un dia antes para checar todo y hacer un poco de turismo.
To the end of the month I went to Pachuca, Hidalgo for a patchwork curse. I arrived one day before to check everything and to do some sightseeing.
Caminé por el centro de la ciudad, la cual es muy pequeña, pero tiene algunas construcciones interesantes.
I walked downtown of the city, it is pretty small but has some interesting buildings.
Su reloj monumental es el sello y orgullo de los Pachuqueños, fué hecho por la misma compañía que construyo el famoso Big- Ben de Londres.
Their big clock is the landmark and proud of the people in Pachuca, it was made for the same company than Big-Ben in London.
Existen varias construcciones donde se puede apreciar el sello de los Europeos que vivierón aqui y que se encargarón de la industrialización de la ciudad, gracias a sus minas.
There are many constructions where we can appreciate the step of the Europeans that lived here and were in charge of the industrialization of the mining city.
El diseño de esta puerta, me inspira a hacer un diseño de acolchado o quizás algo de Trapunto Italiano.
This door design inspire me to do a quilting or maybe an Italian trapunto.
En mi caminata me tope con esta pastelería, la cual ofrecía los más deliciosos y bonitos pasteles que he visto en mi vida. Fué una lastima que no permiten tomar fotografías.
In my walked, I found this pastry shop in which they offer the most delicious and beautiful cakes that I ever seen in my life. So sad they did not allowed me to take pictures.
En el hotel donde me hospedé, se exhiben los famosos "Tenangos" de Hidalgo. Son paneles de tela con bordados a mano en diversos colores y representan la cosmología de los otomíes.
At the hotel where I was, they were exhibited the famous "Tenangos" of Hidalgo. They are pieces of fabric embroider with colorful designs that represent the Otomi cosmology.
Tuve la oportunidad de comprar uno para mi, me encanta la riqueza de color y las figuras.
I got the opportunity to bay one for me, I love the richness of the colors and the shapes.
Al dia siguiente de mi arrivo procedi a dar mi curso con las 29 maestras inscritas en el curso.
Me sentí muy feliz de verlas tan entusiasmadas y sonrientes.
Next day I started my course with the 29 teachers. I felt very happy to see they very enthusiastic and happies.
Muy concentradas, repasando las tecnicas y haciendo sus diagramas.
Here they very concentrate, studing the techniques and doing diagrams.
Al final los resultados de la tecnica, figuras que parecen muy complicadas y llenas de trabajo, resueltas en solo unos minutos.
Estoy feliz de poder transmitir lo que he aprendido a personas que lo van a compartir con otras alumnas.
At the end, the results of the techniques, shapes that look very complicated and full of work resolve in just few minutes.
I feel very happy to be able to share my knowledge with people that are going to do the same with others.

Septiembre- September

Nuestro pobre perro "Bolillo" esta ya muy viejo, le tomé esta foto y tal parece que quiere decir -Estoy cansado, dejame en paz, voy a dormir TOOODO EL DIA, no es tierno?
Our poor dog "Bolillo is very old, I took him this photo and it seems to say: -.I am tired, let me alone, I am going to sleep ALL ENTIRE DAY, isn´t it cute?
Este mes tuve el gran honor de tener una clase con mis alumnas de Tecamachalco y las alumnas de mi estudio, bueno no estaban todas, pero aúnque hubiera deseado que todas vinieran, no fué motivo para no disfrutar del momento de compañerismo y camaradería que tuvimos.

This month I had the honor to share a class with two groups of students, the ones of tecamachalco the regulars at my studio, well they were not all, but even when I wished all they came it wasn´t a reason to not enjoy the moment and cherish the friendship.

Hubo bastante comida y conversación. Pero tambien trabajamos. Aqui están Nicole y Esther muy trabajadoras.
It had enough food and conversation. Although we worked as well. Here are Nicole and Esther working like little bees.
Aqui estan Elizabeth y Nicole muy lindas y aplicadas, por eso hacen cosas tan lindas, no?

En la clase de la tarde mi alumna Laura me mostró un proyecto que le llevo casi un año terminar,
pero finalmente lo hizo y de una manera exitosa! Felicidades Laura!
In the afternoon class Laura showed me a project that tooks to her almost a year to finish, finally she did it and in successful way! Congratulations Laura!
Este fin de mes fuí contratada otra vez para dar un curso en el estado de Pachuca, y bueno he estado super ocupada diseñando y haciendo instrucciones para mi curso de 24 horas.
I was contracted again to give a course at the end of the month in the state of Pachuca and I have been very busy designing and making instructions to it, it will last 24 hours.

Estoy muy contenta por eso, pues eso significa un gran reto para mi y una buena experiencia más para mi curriculum como maestra de patchwork.
I am very happy with this, because that means a big challenge and a good new experiencie to put on my curriculum as a patchwork teacher.
