Esta vez quiero hacer un pequeño reconocimiento a las alumnas que tuvieron la determinacion
y el reto de aprender y finalizar sus proyectos que con todos sus retos y problematica pudieron vencer!
This time I want to recognize all my students for their determination to learn and to complete their projects despite all the challenges and difficulties they had to overcome along the way.

Determinación- Determination

O.k. Algunas veces la vida nos presenta con entusiasmo proyectos que nos entusiasman y llenan de alegría y entusiasmo. Conforme pasa el tiempo y los vamos desarrollando, algunas veces nos damos cuenta que eran verdaderos retos de trabajo y disciplina, paciencia y determinación.
Algunas de nosotras a veces nos rendimos y tratamos de olvidar los sentimientos que en un principio nos llevaron a seleccionar dicho proyecto, pero al final , algo dentro de nosotros sabe que deberíamos continuar ya no por el proyecto en sí, si no como un reto personal y una prueba hacia nosotros mismas.
Sometimes life presents us with projects that excite us and fill us with happiness and enthusiasm. Then as time passes, we realize that they turned out to be a lot of work requiring discipline, patience and determination.

Some of us occasionally give up on the project and try to forget the excitement that led us to choose it in the first place. But in the end, something inside of us knows we should continue, not for the sake of the project itself, but rather as a personal challenge and a way of testing ourselves.

Bueno, el caso es que yo estoy en este momento donde he APRENDIDO una nueva palabra con la cual me identifico DETERMINACION. Creo que es el aliciente ideal para llevar a fin mis proyectos y poner orden a mi vida. Este quilt es el muestrario 2 de mi curso de patchwork y ha sido todo un reto por que decidí quiltear todo a mano, no ha sido fácil, a veces me arrepiento y quiero dar marcha atrás, pero despues pienso en todos los buenos ratos de meditación personal y decido continuar pensando con determinacion que estoy más cerca de verlo realizado y disfrutar de mi trabajo y la fuerza interna que dá el vencer un reto. Mi meta es terminar antes de febrero, podré hacerlo a tiempo y bien? Bueno, solo necesito DETERMINACION.



Well, the thing is I am in that moment where I have LEARNED a new word wich I identify myself with: DETERMINATION. I believed is the ideal inspiration to finish my proyects and put order in my life. This quilt is the 2nd sampler of my patchwork course and it has been a big challenge because I decided to quilt it by hand, it has not been easy .Sometimes I regret and I want to get back, but then I think about all the good moments of meditation while I am sewing and I decide to continue thinking with determination .I am closer to finish and I enjoy my work and the internal force it will give to me when I conquer my challenge.My goal is to finish it before february comes, Will I do it on time and with quality? Well,I just need DETERMINATION.

Estas son las revistas que he acumulado durante 1 año y que haciendo un analisis, son suficientes para seleccionar proyectos el resto del año, no necesito más, necesito tiempo para realizar todo!!

These are the magazines I have gotten during a year and making an analisys, they are enough to select proyects for the rest of the year, I don´t need more ,I need time to do all!!



Mi taller esta listo para recibir a mis alumnas de este año, espero poder compartir más de lo que he aprendido durante mi viaje a Houston y perfeccionar las tecnicas que más disfruto!
He estado durante todo el mes limpiando utilizando, reciclando y tirando las cosas que ya no se usan, necesitaba hacerlo para mover las energias en mi vida, todo para bien!

My workshop is ready to receive my new students, I hope to share most of the things I had learned in Houston and to perfect the thechnics I really liked!! I have been cleaning during all this month and doing all necesary to move energies for good,I needed to do so!!

Bufanda de patchwork- Patchwork scarf.

Esta semana finalmente pude realizar un pequeño proyecto y llevarlo a su fin, hice esta bufanda con pedazos de seda y telas de gasa, en realidad fué hecha para mi amiga Sylvia de San Francisco pero no pude resistir hacerme una igual, que tal les gusta?

This week I finally could made a little proyect and finished it,I made this scarf with stash of silk and gauze, in fact it was made to my friend Sylvia of San Francisco but I couldn´t resist to made one to myself, do you like it?

El 4 de Enero fué el cumple de mi hija Marion, lo celebramos con ella toda la familia y su novio.

Es increíble ver como ahora ya es un adulto y el tiempo ha pasado tan rapido! Todavía la recuerdo chiquita haciendo pasteles! Por cierto el pastel de la foto lo hizo ella.

January 4th was Marion´s birthday, we all the family celebrated it and her boyfriend. It´s incredible to see how now she´s and adult and the time has passed so quick! Yet I remember her as a little girl making cakes! By the way she made the cake of the pic.

No estaba linda de chiquita? Wasn´t she cute when she was little?

Primer dia de 2008 - Fist day of 2008

Hoy al amanecer del primer dia del año doy gracias por todo lo concedido y espero ser digna de tener todo lo que anoche pedí para este año. Para mi el tiempo ahora es irrelevante hasta cierto punto, pero estoy de acuerdo, como en la naturaleza, de que necesitamos respetar ciclos en la vida, quizás por eso es que siento que hoy comienza un ciclo de renovacion para nosotros en Occidente, me gusta verlo así y darme la oportunidad de iniciar nuevamente mi vida cargando solamente esas experiencias que me han enriquecido y llenado de paz y amor.
Ayer celebramos la última cena del año, Alfredo mis hijas y mi madre, fué algo muy apacible y tranquilo, platicamos ,cenamos y meditamos mucho acerca de lo importante que es darse momentos de paz todos juntos, lo disfruté mucho !!

Today, the first day of the year, I give thanks for all the things life gave to me and I hope to be dignified of all the things I asked yesterday night for the rest of the year.For me time is irrelevant till some point, but I agree ,as in nature of the necessity to respect cycles in life, maybe that´s why I feel today is the begining of a new cycle to renovate us in Occident, I like to
look at it that way and give the chance to start anew my life carrying just that useful experiences that had enriched and filled my life with peace and love.
Yesterday night we celebrated the last dinner of the year, Alfredo our daughters and my Mom, it was very peaceful we chatted, ate, and meditate about the important is to realize we need moments of peace all together, I enjoyed it a lot!!

Tambien hoy fuimos al bosque a caminar y quizas, buscar un camino?..

We went to the forest for a walk and maybe,to find our path ?...

Aqui encontré un arbol muy especial... Here I found a very especial tree...

Y decidí meditar un poco...

And I decided to meditate a little...

Y escuchar el sonido del bosque y respirar aire puro!

And listening the sound of the forest and to breath pure air!

Buena forma de empezar el año, no es verdad?

Good idea to start the year, don´t you think so?
