Esta vez ,quiero platicarles que la hija de un amigo que vive en Alemania, vino a casa de visita por 10 dias y bueno una vez más disfruté de la enriquecedora experiencia de ser turista en mi País. Decidimos llevarla a varios lugares importantes y tambien a Teotihuacan a visitar las piramides. This time I want to tell you a friend´s daughter came from Germany to visit us for ten days, and well again, I really enjoy to the enriched experience to be a tourist of my own Country. We decide to took her to several important places and visit Teotihuacan as well .

Es un gran orgullo para mi, el poder mostrar un poco de nuestra cultura a personas que vienen del extranjero y al mismo tiempo siempre poder descubrir algo nuevo y aprender junto con ellos un poco más cada vez. Is a proud to me, I can show a little piece of our culture to foreing people and at the same time to get the opportunity to discover something new and to learn a little bit more with them .

Aqui esta nuestra huesped, Melissa, ella es Alemana y tiene 20 años. Quizás es un poco dificil para una chica de su edad el poder percibir la grandeza de nuestra cultura, pero bueno espero que este primer acercamiento le dé curiosidad para aprender mas acerca de Mexico. Por lo pronto les contaré que la piramide del sol mide 64 mts. de altura y se divide en 4 niveles, de los cuales 3 estaban pintados de rojo y el segundo estaba forrado de mica. Here is our guest, Melissa, she´s German and is 20 years old. Maybe it´s a little difficult for a girl at her age, to perceive the greatness of our culture, but I hope this first approach can help her to get interested to learn about Mexico. As yet, I tell you that the pyramid of the sun is 64 mts.high, it has 4 levels, the second was complete covered with mica, the rest were paited in red.

Esta es la mica que ellos traían de Oaxaca y tenía la función de reflejar el sol como pueden ver, se imaginan que impresionante era? This is the mica that they brought from Oaxaca and it had the function to reflect the light of the sun as you can see here, Can you imagine what impressive it was?
Asi es como los antropólogos encontraron la mica debajo de las piramides que fueron usadas como base de una nueva etapa de construcción. Existía la renovación cada 52 años y todo se destruía para construir sobre la piramide anterior. Here we have the mica the anthropologist found under the pyramids that were used as a base of a new etape of construction. It existed the renovation, and each 52 years everything was destroyed to reconstruct a new era.
Esta es la calzada de los muertos con la piramide de la luna al fondo. This is the roadway called calzada de los muertos at the end there is the pyramid of the Moon.
Esta es una pintura representando un puma, que se encuentra sobre la calzada de los muertos y nos permite darnos una idea de como todo estuvo cubierto con estuco y pinturas. This is a puma representation in a paint, it is on the calzada de los muertos and give us and idea of how was all paited and covered with stucco.
Increible que parte de los colores haya sobrevivido hasta ahora!

Dentro del complejo aún sobreviven estas pinturas, me recuerdan a veces a las pinturas en las tumbas egipcias. Under the complex still this paints still survive, they remind me sometimes the paints in the egipcian tombs.
Aun ahora, creo que sería muy complicado realizar dibujos como estos!

Even now, I believe it would be very complicated to drow like this!

Esta es una pirámide dentro de otra, en la que los arquéologos han encontrado 8 niveles de pirámides y aún conservan rastros de pinturas y estuco. This is a pyramid that use to be contained into another, the archeologist have found 8 levels of pyramids and they still keep vestiges of stucco and paint.

Despues de una maravillosa visita y una larga caminata por este precioso camino que nos llevaba al estacionamiento, empezamos a sentir hambre, afortunadamente soy precavida y cargué con una canasta que tenía algunos "tesoros". After a wonderful visit, and a long walk for this beautiful road that took us to the parking lot, we started to feel hungry, fortunaly I am a prevented woman so I carried a basket with some "treasures".

Queso, Pan, Jitomates, Mangos, Guanabana y Pastel de platano y avena.

Cheese, Bread, Tomatoes, Mangoes,Guanabana and banana-oat cake.

Que maravilloso es comer cuando se ha caminado bastante!!
How wonderful is to eat when we had walked so long !!!
De regreso a casa ví este anuncio que es el típico sombrero mexicano que se conoce en todo el mundo, claro lo viste un chico moderno, pero sin querer tomé una foto parecida en Teotihuacan. Back home I saw this ad that shows the typical mexican hat, it is well known all over the world, of course it is wearing by a modern boy, but by accident I tokk a picture alike in Teotihuacan.
Aqui esta un chico actual vistiendo el mismo sombrero, que casualidad verdad?

Ayer Melissa decidió prepararnos un plato que ella acostumbra comer en Alemania.
Yesterday Melissa decided to prepare us a dish she used to eat in Germany.

Marión y ella se apoderarón de mi cocina para deleitarnos con sus platillos. Marión and her they seized my kitchen to delight us with her dishes.
Mmmm, luce bien verdad? Bueno tambien sabía delicioso!! Ella preparo la pasta y todo, gracias Melissa estuvo riquisimo!!! Mmmm, looks great isn´t it? Well, it tasted good too! She prepared the pasta and everything, thanks Melissa it was delicious!!!
