Mérida, Yucatán

Continuando con mi relato, al llegar a Mérida estuvimos allí un día, con muchisimo calor!! Creo que de este viaje donde sentimos más calor fué aquí, pero bueno esta ciudad pequeña esta llena de cosas interesantes y lugares bellos. Carry on with my report, we stayed at Mérida for one day and we felt a lot of heat!! I think here was where we felt more the heat, but well, this little city is full of interesting things and beautifull places.

Aqui esta Alfredo en el hotel donde estuvimos, se ve como todo un hacendado del henequen, ja ja ja! Here is Alfredo at the hotel where we stayed, he looks like a propierted of the henequen, ha ha ha!
Bueno debo decir que este viaje ha sido uno de los más interesantes que hemos hecho Alfredo y yo y que bueno hace honor al hecho de que celebramos 20 años de casados!! Well I must say this trip has been one of the most interesting we have made and it honored our 20 year married celebration!! Ahora cambiando totalmente de tema, les contaré que finalmente se va a realizar un proyecto que ha estado rondando en mi vida por meses, pero ya, finalmente es un hecho: voy a dar mi primer seminario de quilt en serio a una institucion gubernamental!! Esto significa que todo lo que he aprendido de patchwork y quilts lo enseñaré a 20 maestras. Estoy muy emocionada por todo lo que significa para mi y para el futuro de esta materia aqui en Mexico, ya les contaré en unas semanas de todo. Now, changing a little the subject, I will tell you that finally and old project is going to be a reality: I will give a patchwork seminary seriously to a real governmental institution!! This mean that all I have learned from patchwork and quilts will be trained to 20 teachers by me. I am very excited for all that signifies to me and for the future of this subject here in Mexico, I will tell you all in a few weeks.

Aqui esta el proyecto que todas mis alumnas han hecho y bueno ha funcionado tan bien que voy a honrarlo en mi curso. Here is the project all my students have made and it has worked so good that I am going to honor it at my course.

Ya casi termino el quilt que estoy haciendo a mano, lo voy a usar también en mi curso, asi que antes de una semana lo podré mostrar aqui. I almost finish the quilt I have been quilting by hand, I will use it in my course, so it needs to be finished before one week, then I will show it here.
