Este mes, estuve haciendo un ejercicio de buscar inspiración en mi entorno para encontrar diseños Mexicanos que poder adaptar en algún trabajo de patchwork.
This month, I was doing an exercise looking for some Mexican inspiration in my environment to put into a patchwork.
Fué muy interesante que solamente en casa de la abuela de Alfredo, encontré estas piezas de talavera con unos diseños muy lindos.
It was very interesting to discover that just at Grandma Alfredo´s house I found these beautiful peaces of Talavera full of designs on it.
En el centro de la ciudad; en un callejón tomé esta foto, no es en si ya un patchwork?
In downtown city, I took this picture of a floor that it´s a patchwork, isn´it ?
Y en una tienda de Arabes, mientras jugaban backgamon , que por cierto yo no sabía que era un juego Turco muy antiguo, vean que maravilla de tablero, no es un patchwork??
In an Arabs store I took this picture, meanwhile they were playing backgammon and by the way I did not know it was a very ancient Turkish game.


En el famoso cafe Tacuba, los colores, los diseños, las formas, hay inspiración por todas partes!!
At the famous Cafe Tacuba I felt the designs, the colors, the form, there is inspiration everywhere!!
Sólo necesito tener una vida más para poder diseñar todo lo que me encantaría y llevarlo a cabo de principio a fin, ja ja ja
But I need an extra-life to be able to design and to finish all I would like to do it, ha ha ha


Por otro lado, el dar clases me obliga a aprender y realizar proyectos que toman gran parte de mi tiempo, pero bueno eso es una de mis pasiones.
On the other hand, teaching force me to learn and to have done projects that take a big part of my time, well it is one of my big passions.
Aqui esta Elizabeth haciendo una Mola con la tecnica de Applicación reversible, le quedó muy linda.

Lo mejor de todo es que tambien podemos contagiar a las nuevas generaciones, aqui esta mi alumna más joven Melissa, la hija de mi alumna Angélica en plena concentración.
The best of all in patchwork is we can infect new generations, here is my youngest student, Melissa very concentrated, she is angelica´s daugther.

Cambiando de tema, recibí dos lindos presentes por el día de las madres, el regalo de Marión estuvo muy creativo, se nota que estudia Diseño, que lindo hacer algo con sólo un poco de periodico y mucho cariño!
Changing subject, I received two beautiful presents for Mother´s day, Marion´s gift was wrapped in a very creative manner, is noticeable she is studying design. Very nice to do something special with just a piece of news paper and lots of love!
Este fué su regalo, una preciosa libreta para escribir mis cosas de patchwork, justo lo que estaba buscando!!
This is her gift, a very nice notebook to write all my stuff of patchwork, just the thing I was looking for!!
Manos a la obra, ya estoy escribiendo en ella y poniendo orden a mis notas, espero seguir asi, gracias cielo por tu regalo!!

Deborah me regaló esta bella mariposa justo de mi color favorito!! Solo tuve que quitarle la cadena por que me irritó un poquito.
Deborah gave me this bautiful butterfly just in my favorite color!! Just I have to to change the chain because it irritate my skin a little.
Pero el cambió me gustó más, una cinta del mismo color!! Muchas gracias Deborah, te llevo en mi corazón.
But I like the change more, I put a strip the same color!! Thank you very much Deborah, I take you in my heart.Mi auto-regalo fué un pequeño cambio de imagen, me corté el cabello !! Me costo mucho decidirme por que tengo muchos años con el pelo largo, pero finalmente lo hice y me encantó!
My self present was a little change of image, I cut my hair!! it was difficult to me to decide because I have been a long hair for long time, but finally I did it and I like it to much!


El reto del mes fué hacer un quilt del libro de Kaffe Fassett .
The challenge of the month was to do a Kaffe Fassett quilt.
Seleccioné un set de telas que tenía ya cortadas que mi amigo Greg, me trajo de Alemania hace uno o dos años ?? La verdad ya ni me acuerdo. Bueno el caso es que sólo conseguí diferentes telas para encerrar los cuadros pues ninguno se repite.
I selected some pre cut squares my friend Greg brought me from Germany two or three years ago?? I can not remember. Well the truth is I just had to get different color fabric to make the frames, because none of them is repeated.


Y Voilá!! Aqui esta terminado, use todos los cuadros de Greg, no sobró ni falto ninguno, que proyecto tan exacto verdad??
And Voilá !! Here is it finished, I used all the Greg squares and it neither remained none was missed, what an exact project, right?
