Reading about aesthetics and philosophy I found a term that comes to change some of my believes and feelings about aesthetic things, this is Wabi-Sabi. So many people doesn´t understand the deep meaning it has within, but one thing or another it has help me to re-valuate my ideas and feelings of things around me.
This is a bag called "morral" in Mexico, it is used for Mexican peasants to carry their food and the seeds inside when they sow. It is made from henequen fibers. To give it a more interesting touch I sewed a spiral shell buttons in it to symbolize the infinitum. definitely it is Wabi-Sabi.
Going on with re-value of things we used, I kept some sweaters for so long to do something with them, one or two months ago I decided to designed this and cut them.
After that I sewed all the patches by machine and then I made some running stitches to hold and decorate. It feels so warm, I am happy to recover all my old sweaters the ones that brings "character and spirit" to my work.
Last, I want to show you the flowers that my cactus gave us, it´s incredible the color and quantity of the flowers!!Unfortunately because of the light, we can not appreciate the pink color, so Mexican!
