Marzo- March

Este mes reserve mi viaje para ir al festival de quilts de Chicago. Dude un poco, pues tengo muchos proyectos en puerta, pero finalmente me decidí.
This month I booked my trip to go to the Chicago quilt festival. I hesitated because I have a lot to do but finally I say yes!
He estado muy feliz por el hecho de saber diseñar cosas. Algunas me encantan, otras no mucho; pero dentro la experimentación he podido diseñar artefactos que me resuelven la vida.
I have been very happy for the fact I am able to design things. Some things I liked, some I do not but with experimentation I have designed useful artifacts to me.

Diseñé esta bolsa hecha en lino y algodón. Me gustó tanto que no la he soltado para nada!
hice algunas y las vendí. Le caben muchas cosas y me gusta su linea rustica, creo que las cosí con calidad, espero nadie se queje, ja ja ja!
I designed this bag made of linen and cotton. I liked it so much, that I have used it for everyday since I made it! I sold some of them. It carry so many things and looks very rustic, It was sewed in good quality, I hope nobody complain, ha ha ha!
Tambien me encontré en mi estudio esta tela de lino que compré hace años!!! Diseñé este saco y lo hice todo sólo en máquina recta, me gustó mucho para mi viaje a Chicago.
I found at my studio a piece of linen I bought years ago!! I designed this coat and made it with just running stitch in my sewing machine. I like it for my trip to Chicago.
Le puse estos "patchs" de la misma tela y por supuesto para una tela de lino, botones de lujo, éstos son de concha, hechos a mano.
I put these patches of the same fabric and for a very good linen, luxurious buttons, these are made of shell by hand.

Explorando técnicas, este mes, me propuse hacer un cuadro con la tecnica y el diseño de una gran maestra del Patchwork, se llama Janet Bolton.
Exploring new techniques, I propose myself to do one of the works of a very good patchwork teacher this month, her name is Janet Bolton.
Esta mujer Inglesa, solo usa hilo, aguja, alfileres y tijeras como herramientas en sus trabajos. El resto son retazos de cualquier tipo, despues embellece sus trabajos con diferentes objetos: botones, cuentas, palitos, etc. etc. Ya la tengo en mi lista de maestros que algún día visitare para un taller. Es realmente fascinante!! Aqui más de ella.
This British woman just works with simple tools like: needle, thread, pins, and scissors. The rest are little scraps of any kind of cloth, then she embellishes her work with different objects:
buttons, beadings, little sticks, etc,etc. I got her as a "must to know teacher" one day. She´s fascinating. More of her.
